People move to major cities for work or to look for services that in small towns does not exist (anymore). A large number of tourists will not reach them, because they are not famous. The majority of people live here, behind the scenes of that great stage that the tour operators propose when they suggest destinations.
I walked or encountered these roads, these alleys, these squares many times.
Each of the pictures that I took resonated with my thoughts. They told me something, although very often something undescribable, not clearly identifiable.
We spend our lives living in places that are hardly ever told in history books.
Our everyday life disappears without a trace.
“You take delight not in a city’s seven or seventy wonders, but in the answer it gives to a question of yours.” – Italo Calvino, Invisible Cities
