Desnalpà

The time of descent from the mountain pastures, is one of those rites of passage that goes back to the origins of pastoralism.
Men who live on the pastures for weeks or months, when arrives of the cold season, lead the cattle, now without pastures, downstream, in the stables.

Desnalpà is the name of this event in a small corner of Piedmont, near Turin, in Italy.
